Bow Question [collector and golden]
I know many bows are just as good as a collector's bow, many times a collector bow is better then ones being sold on this formum for 10k. Does a golden bow have a bonus dmg or something, or do ppl only want it because they want to lookg pro.
I have a couple mx bonus and mx dmg golden bows but I don't see any difference in the dmg. Isn't it just as good to get a good collector's bow as it is to get a golden strombow with the same amount of dmg and the same bonus?
My question in Short: "is a collector's bow just as good as a golden bow if it has the same bonusses and damage?"
Untill now I only bought golden bows because I wanted to look pro.
P.S. With a bonus I mean something like 15% dmg while in a stance.
Thanks in Advance

Collector bows look like crap.
BTW, there is no difference, except that (usualy) golden bows come with more modifiers.

Well I didnt directly answer your question. They do same damage, yes, but collector bow with 15>50 can't do more damage to skeletons than gold bow with 15>50 and 20% skeletonslaying.
To be honest, I never really bothered with collector/clean items, so I dont know if they are as upgradeable as gold items.
Someone can answer that question better than me.

Of all the dumb things I've ever heard in my life...
Within five minutes of grabbing my Collector's shortbow, it was a Zealous Collector's Shortbow of Sheltering. Of course they're as upgradeable as gold weapons! Why do you think there's such a thriving market for upgrade items? The only reason to pay someone 50K for a max damage storm bow with all sorts of mods and enhancements is because you want the looks and are too lazy to assemble the thing yourself - a collector's Long with the same grip, string, and +damage modifier is the exact same weapon minus the funky skin. I will admit I tote around an Eternal Bow, but that's because it had a rare +damage modifier (stance) and only cost me 5K :-P. And I like my collector's short just as much as I do my Eternal.

I have a slew of collector bows. Yes, they all look the same, and no, I don't like the look. However, cheap, fully-functional max stat bows are what I was after anyway. I prefer shortbows & halfmoons, so I picked up around a dozen of them. I have one of each element, a poisoning, a sundering, vamp and zealous.
One thing to keep in mind with collector bows though is you cannot salvage them. Any mods you put on it are there to stay, unless you overwrite them with another mod.

you know freakin collectors bows are the way to go they are really economical for someone who doesn't want to waste away farming.. who needs looks when it does the same freakin thing... seriously people who have to have that useless skin jus for looks are really bummy.... but yea thats jus my own opinion...
COLLECTORS BOWS FTW

You people are funny, what's the point of getting absolutely best modifier to items when there will be always someone who will whoop the floor with your sorry ass.
I go for looks, especially now when items can be found for much cheaper price.

I want to use collector's bows...however, I can't find the mod/bowtype i want. If there's a hornbow type w/ 15^ in stance/^50, then please post so people won't have to spend 100k+.

Self-defeating much?
Because the people who are cruching for max stats are more than likely those wiping the floor with your sorry ass.

Actually, Take teh Ascalon Bow. I have a Zealous Ascalon Bow of fortitude. It does all the damage and what not that a gold bow will. Only difference is yes teh looks but in performace ne ways is the range and speed. I find my ascalon bow attack slightly slower and has quit abit less range.
